Chiropractic Adjustments: Adjustments are applied to spine, extremities and cranial bones. Dr. Elijah is highly skilled in chiropractic procedures. Muscle testing (applied kinesiology) examination is used throughout every treatment which provides pin point diagnosis to know the location of the cause and how best to accomplish the correction. Multiple techniques are used in providing the best treatment protocol which is tailor made based on each unique patient situation:

Traditional manual “hands-on” adjustments of all the body's joints where necessary. Thompson technique using a Drop-piece table corrections that makes the adjustment very comfortable. Sometimes, a hand held instrument such as the Activator are used in making the chiropractic adjustments. Additional techniques used are SacroOccipital Technique. This technique includes a unique method of diagnosis, pelvic blocking and reflex techniques. The underlying principles of SOT state that the sacrum has a sagital plane respiratory movement mechanism and is associated via the dura with the cranium.

Soft tissue therapy corrections to the imbalanced muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia components. The net effect is often rapid pain relief and stabilization of muscle balance and strength. Soft tissue therapies are used to treat acute strains and sprains as well as chronic overuse conditions such as tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, runners knee, low back pain and the likes. These overuse conditions go by the names of RSI and CTD (repetitive strain injury and cumulative trauma disorder) and are very common conditions in today's society. They tend to occur as a result of a poorly healed acute sprain/strain or from repeated minor trauma such as tennis elbow in an office worker who spends all weekend hammering nails into a deck. The repeated small insults cause micro damage to the tissue which if bad enough can present with pain, swelling, tingling, numbness, burning, weakness and tightness. As the person continues to use the affected body part, the cycle of 'insult and injury' worsens.

Applied Kinesiology Testing: Manual muscle testing protocols can be used to assess energy imbalances, inflamed or irritated nerve endings in the tissues and joints that once identified can lead to direct chiropractic corrections to create pain relief, balance, harmony and well being in the area. Kinesiology can be used for a host of other complementary assessments in the emotional & chemical balance, food sensitivity, cosmetic, vitamin and dental material tolerance, and other areas of need.

Acupuncture Treatments: Can be an effective choice for pain relief, condition treatment and prevention of illness or maintaining wellness for life. The doctor can recommend adjunctive acupuncture to treat low back pain, carpal tunnel or other recurrent musculoskeletal issues. Acupuncture can also be used to treat the whole body for health problems such as migraine headaches, irritable bowel, infertility and many other conditions. Nutritional Therapy: Many patients are consuming a diet that is lacking in some of the basic nutrients. When there is an injury or health condition, the nutritional needs can be amplified. The doctor has an extensive background in clinical nutrition and may recommend specific nutritional supplements to aid in the recovery of the health problem. Neuro Emotional Technique- (N.E.T.) Emotions are part of the natural, healthy response process we have to virtually every situation we encounter. However, sometimes challenging emotional experiences and physical vulnerabilities create lingering stress in our mind-body architecture. Such stress can contribute to physical complaints, emotional difficulties, and problems with goal achievement. The Neuro Emotional Technique is a powerful intervention that can assess and alleviate the internal stressors that are creating barriers to health and success.

Craniosacral Therapy: is a method of Complementary and alternative medicine used by massage therapists, naturopaths, chiropractors, osteopaths, physical therapists, nurses, dentists, and doctors who manually apply a subtle movement of the spinal and cranial bones to bring the central nervous system into harmony. This therapy involves assessing and addressing the movement of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), which can be restricted by trauma to the body, such as through falls, accidents, and general nervous tension. By gently working with the spine, the skull, and its cranial sutures, diaphragms, and fascia, the restrictions of nerve passages are eased, the movement of CSF through the spinal cord can be optimized, and misaligned bones can be restored to their proper position. This therapy is said to be particularly useful for mental stress, neck and back pain, migraines, TMJ Syndrome, and for chronic nervous conditions such as fibromyalgia.

Functional Medicine Laboratory Tests: Testing for nutrient deficiency and chemical / metal toxic overload, nutritional needs based upon genetic profile.
